Nominations are open for the FTTH Award 2016

The FTTH Council Europe announces that nominations are now open for the fifth edition of the FTTH Award. The winners will be presented at the FTTH Conference 2016 on 16-18 February in Luxembourg-City, Luxembourg

The FTTH Council Europe Award is a special and prestigious award that recognize outstanding support and advancement to the acceleration of FTTH in Europe. Every year, since 2012, the winners are presented at the annual FTTH Conference, the biggest FTTH-related conference in the world.

The award has two categories:
• FTTH Council Europe Individual Award: This award honours an individual for his/her special efforts to make FTTH happen in Europe.
• FTTH Council Europe Operator Award: This award is given to an operator company that has made a clear decision in favour of FTTH in Europe.

Nominations for this fifth edition are open to everyone and can be made anonymously online on: ( The nomination must include the name/company name of the nominated individual/operator as well as a contact address of the nominee including the e-mail address (if known). A brief description of the reason why this person/company should receive the FTTH Council Europe Award 2016 needs to be submitted too.

Nominations will close on Thursday 26 November 2015
The Board Members and the Committee Chairs of the FTTH Council Europe will evaluate all submissions and elect the winners by majority vote. The winner of each category will receive an award trophy and prize money (3,000 euros). The great winners of the FTTH Award 2015 were dstelecom (dst group) and Dik Wessels that received the FTTH Operators Award and Individual Award, respectively, for their outstanding efforts to accelerate the adoption of FTTH in Europe.
