M2M Alliance: Cooperation at CeBIT 2016
Date: Tue, 12/01/2015 - 20:20
CeBIT has further enhanced its standing as the Global Event for Digital Business. To augment the thematic cluster “M2M/IoT Communication Technology” Deutsche Messe has now formed a strategic partnership with the M2M Alliance
The Internet of Things and Machine to Machine Communication are expected to generate enormous growth in the coming years. It is estimated that, over the next four years, more than 20 billion physical objects will be connected to the Internet. The resultant challenges and opportunities will be high up on the agenda at CeBIT 2016. To illuminate the various thematic aspects the CeBIT organizers have decided to expand the “M2M/IoT Communications” pavilion in collaboration with a strong external partner, the M2M Alliance.
With a total of 85 members in 14 countries, the M2M Alliance is the largest European organization in this business sector. The Alliance will not only contribute to the “M2M/IoT Communications” pavilion, but will also assist Deutsche Messe with marketing and visitor recruitment.
Eric Schneider, Chairman of the M2M Alliance, emphasizes that “M2M/IoT is a key issue confronting our society. Without a regular exchange between solution providers and users the market cannot develop. The M2M Alliance has therefore pledged its support to the M2M/IoT pavilion at CeBIT 2016 and is hoping for a strong response on the part of exhibitors and visitors.”
Marius Felzmann, the Senior Vice President responsible for CeBIT at Deutsche Messe in Hannover, is convinced that “M2M communication and the Internet of Things are driving forces behind the digitization of the economy. Numerous new business models and value chains will emerge in the near future. The partnership with the M2M Alliance will stimulate additional growth.”
CeBIT 2016 will take place at the exhibition center in Hannover, Germany, from 14 to 18 March.
