ANGA Cable Show opens with new exhibitor record

“Cable operators will continue their triumphant success in the TV and broadband markets”, with this forecast ANGA president Thomas Braun opened Europe’s leading Trade Fair and Congress for Cable, Broadband and Satellite today in Cologne. From today through 28 May 380 exhibitors from 33 countries are exhibiting at the Cologne fairgrounds.
In his opening address Matthias Kurth, President of the Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railway (Bundesnetzagentur) underlined that the cable operators have immense advantages by their own infrastructure. With it they are well put up in the growing broadband competition.
Trade fair and congress will take place until 28 May. Tickets are available at the box-office on site. Tickets for the exhibition cost 20.- Euros. Congress tickets cost 150.- Euros (plus VAT) for the entire programme and 75.- Euros (plus VAT) for the technology panels, both tickets include entrance to the exhibition.
The event’s key topics include cable and fibre optic cable network operators‘ recent Triple Play strategies, HDTV, IPTV and the newest generations of terminal devices as well as current technologies for the future 100 MBit networks.
