Date: Tue, 03/22/2011 - 16:23
Floor space increased by 15 %, both levels of hall 10 used for the first time
On 3 May 2011, ANGA Cable, Europe’s leading Trade Fair for Cable, Broadband and Satellite will start with a record number of 420 exhibitors from 34 countries. The floor space, increased by 15 %, is already sold out. Topical issues at the event include hybrid TV, Next Generation Networks, Video on Demand and the switch off of analogue satellite distribution in Germany.
Dr. Peter Charissé, Managing Director of ANGA Cable: “Visitors may expect the largest and most beautiful ANGA Cable ever. The broadband and television markets are booming and we provide the best show window for this in Europe. We combine a percentage of more than 40 % visitors from abroad and a domestic market of 40 million homes. We experience an unprecedented pace of innovation with broadband upgrading and the entry of hybrid TV offers for the mass market. Switch off of analogue satellite distribution in Germany in April next year opens an additional huge potential for sales for our exhibitors.”
Herbert Strobel, Chairman of the Satellite & Cable Trade Association within the German Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry ZVEI: “The termination of analogue television signal distribution via satellite on 30 April 2012 is at the centre of our industry. ANGA Cable provides a unique opportunity for the members of our trade association: It is the ideal market place to make the necessary arrangements with adequate handling time and start the final spurt to digital upgrading. This year, we are looking forward to a particularly successful trade show.”
The agenda of the congress which is held alongside the trade show, will open with two summit events.
