Easynet Global Services announced the launch of Application Performance Audit (APA) part of its SMART MPLS portfolio, an innovative solution that makes networks intelligent
Easynet at Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2011 Barcelona
The service builds on Easynet’s partnerships with Ipanema and Computer Associates, and uses their centralised management platforms to help customers worldwide troubleshoot, plan for change, right-size and optimise the performance of their networks.
APA was developed in response to customer demand for a solution that addresses the increased challenges in application performance experienced by companies since initiating datacentre centralisation projects. It allows customers to look for bottlenecks in the performance of their networks and identify the reasons for them so changes can be made quickly.
The audit is deployed within the customer’s network and runs over a two to three week period, while continuously monitoring and capturing all traffic information. Easynet consultants then analyse the findings and feedback any recommendations or corrective actions in a comprehensive audit report. Also the pricing structure is simple with the customer only paying a one-off fee for the whole service.
Justin Fielder, chief technology officer at Easynet Global Services said: “The constantly evolving world of IT and infrastructure puts tremendous pressure on the network, and the way it handles traffic has become critical to any organisation’s business. Yet, CIOs are often too busy to take the time to understand the issues that cause some applications to underperform. Having the visibility of knowing what’s happening on the network is truly invaluable – especially for companies who want to transition to the Cloud. With the expertise we’ve developed by working closely with Ipanema and Computer Associates and the enormous success of our beta trials with selected customers, we’re thrilled to now offer this service to our customers.”
