CeBIT 2011 (Tuesday, 1 March to Saturday, 5 March)
The program at the CeBIT Global Conferences (CGC) is being expanded for CeBIT 2011. "In recent years the CGC format -in its function as a component of the world's leading ICT event -has truly established itself" commented Ernst Raue, Managing Board Member at Deutsche Messe, adding that CeBIT was the only event where there was "such an extensive meshing of international conference, top management networking hub with economic policy implications and an exhibition that reproduces the entire digital supply chain." CeBIT 2011 opens at the Hannover Exhibition Center on 1 March 2011.
More than 4,000 industry professionals from across the globe attended the CeBIT Global Conferences in 2010 -an increase of 21 percent compared with 2009. "Next year the CeBIT Global Conferences will be staged under the slogan of, 'The power of creativity and innovation'. This is an indication that in the future, the focus is going to be increasingly on ways of making creative use of the numerous options offered by the ITC sector's capacity to innovate," declared Raue.
Raue explained that the event would also be devoted to exploring the impact of the rapid digitalization of work, mobility, leisure and communication, as well as the new phenomenon of the integrated home, on people's daily lives. "We are consistently implementing our four-platform concept for CeBIT 2011 at the CeBIT Global Conferences," said Raue. He continued: "The Conferences will focus on the segments of pro, gov, life and lab as a supplement to the exhibition itself. Only CeBIT is able to combine a flagship show with an international conference format in this fashion."
