CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia (6 to 10 October 2010, Istanbul)
Preparations for Eurasia’s leading ICT exhibition are already in full swing: Featuring an abundance of topical themes, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia opens its doors on 6 October at the TUYAP exhibition center in Istanbul. “This event will do more than just support the further growth of the Turkish ICT sector,” commented Dr. Andreas Gruchow, Member of the Managing Board of Deutsch Messe in Hannover and responsible for the company’s tradeshows abroad. “It will also contribute to establishing Istanbul as the key venue for the ICT sector in the Eurasian region. CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia is a real highlight when it comes to opening up new opportunities for a broad array of ICT segments,” he continued.
This year’s event features an expanded exhibition program. The display sectors entitled “Business World” and “Digital Life” will be complemented by the new display categories “Public Sector” and “Media & Special Displays”. The exhibition is geared to IT-industry providers and users as well as to IT users from other sectors of industry, public institutions and media enterprises. The main focus is on topics like 3D, eGovernment, eMunicipality, Green IT, Internet, printing, image processing and intelligent living.
A special highlight this year involves the “Smart Cities” special display, which features IT solutions that help streamline and expedite municipal processes. The organizers are expecting VIP and buyer delegations from 80 Turkish cities to attend. These experts will be visiting the “Smart Cities” special display to learn about the latest concepts and to generate new leads for their investment projects. And companies from Germany and Bulgaria will display their products and innovations prominently at their respective national pavilions.
A diverse marketing campaign was launched to support the CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia exhibition this year, creating critical added value for providers and trade visitors. For the first time ever, special buyer tours of the show have been arranged: The Turkish DTM (Under¬secretary of Foreign Trade) is assuming the travel and accommodation costs for buyers from around 60 different nations, including growth markets like China, India, Russia, Vietnam and the United States. An international “Matchmaking B2Fair Event” will serve as an important networking hub for exhibitors and attending professionals.
As at the previous event, Broadcast Cable & Satellite Eurasia will run concurrently with CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia. As Eurasia’s biggest exhibition for TV satellite and broadcasting technology, this show brings industry leaders together with TV professionals, creating the ideal setting for sealing business deals. Visitors can expect to see the latest innovations in television broadcasting technology, CCTV, central distribution, fiber optics, IPTV, lighting, navigation sys¬tems, radio broadcasting, satellite broadcasting, security, sound and studio equipment.
The exhibition is rounded out by an extensive program of forums, seminars and conferences as well as by several presentations organized by industry associations.
