Date: Fri, 11/09/2012 - 14:10
This new technology revolutionizes the way a wide range of digital services and payments are handled. No cards, no cheques, no cash is needed, just a touch. The transaction is initiated via your skin, providing secure user authentication. Making payments has never been so easy for the end-user whether it is a young, older or disabled person.
The eGo* solution offers exceptional convenience without compromising on security. It includes an initial identity verification process and remains under full control of its holder. All eGo transactions are secured by the highest standards in encryption technology and the privacy of user information is always protected.
Consisting of embedded software fitted inside a wearable object such as a belt or watch, eGo can store the user’s credentials and access rights for a wide range of services: open a hotel door, start a car, provide health information, manage a transaction via one touch. It is intuitive, fast and ultra-secure. Acting like a multi-service enabler containing numerous applications, after user authentication, the wearable eGo device communicates with eGo-compliant objects via a single touch. Credentials are passed on securely, and the desired electronic transaction completed seamlessly.
Denis Faivre, Director of innovation at Atos Worldline said: “ Our participation in this revolutionary project is a reflection of Atos Worldline continued innovation leadership and demonstrates its capacity to bring cutting-edge ideas to reality.
