Warsaw to welcome the World’s largest FTTH event in 2015

Save the date for the FTTH Conference on 10 - 12 February 2015
The FTTH Council Europe is pleased to confirm that the 12th edition of the FTTH Conference 2015 will be held in Warsaw?s international exhibition centre EXPO XXI from 10 to 12 February 2015.
The theme of the 2015 Warsaw event is “Creating a Connected Continent”.
“The event timing is perfect for Poland since the country is widely implementing its broadband infrastructure,” said Karin Ahl, President of the FTTH Council Europe.
The event has received the fullest support from the host country, with patronages from Poland’s Ministry of Administration and Digitization (MAC - Ministerstwo Administracji i Cyfryzacji) and national telecoms regulator, the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE – Urz’d Komunikacji Elektronicznej).
Rafa Trzaskowski, Minister for Administration and Digitization, is invited to open the FTTH Conference, at the start of three days of in-depth workshops and presentations. The Ministry of Administration and Digitization is responsible for the implementation of the National Broadband Plan and for the coordination of the roll-out of broadband networks in the country.
Ms. Magdalena Gaj, President of UKE, who will address the audience during the opening ceremony of the FTTH Conference said: “Poland’s national broadband plan is fully aligned with the European Digital Agenda, which requires that 100 % of households and companies should have access to internet connectivity of at least 30 Mbps and 50 % of households and companies have access to internet connectivity of 100 Mbps by 2020. We share a common goal: to ensure that high-speed access to the Internet should become accessible to everyone. We are proud to receive the FTTH Conference in Warsaw and we look forward to a very successful event.”
Combining a high-level conference with a leading edge exhibition and unparalleled networking opportunities, the FTTH Conference is the largest FTTH-focused event in the world, gathering over 3,000 participants during its last three editions including in Stockholm in 2014.
