Novelties enrich FUTURECOM 2010 program

The CIO’s panel, the IT Arena and the Innovation Prize are highlights of the event
Besides the traditional business trade show and the international congress with more than 300 speeches and panels, five new debate panels will bring unique business verticals and these are: VAS (Value-Added Services), with representatives of GUGST (Users Group of Outsourcing Management); Mobile Money Market; Digital Retailing; Public Security, and Government actions focused on the Sector.
Another novelty is the launch of the First FUTURECOM INNOVATION PRIZE which will select the three best Telecom VAS Applications.
Among the evaluation criteria are the relevance to the customer, the technological resources for their development, and their technical and economic feasibility. The winner will participate in the 2011 World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Further novelties in 2010: the addition of two new exclusive spaces: the IT Arena, an exhibition area and one conference room for companies from the Information Technology Sector, and the Innovation Space, an initiative in cooperation with the ITS Institute, which will shelter micro and small companies that develop Innovations for the Telecommunications and Information Technology segments.
Leaders of the Sector have confirmed their presence: Antonio Carlos Valente, for Grupo Telefonica in Brazil; Roberto Oliveira de Lima, for VIVO; Joao Cox Neto, for CLARO; Zeinal Bava, for Portugal Telecom; Ramez Younan, for Orga Systems; Houssein Moiin, for Nokia Siemens Networks, Jean-Pierre Bienaimé, for UMTS, among others. Ambassador Ronaldo Mota Sardenberg, President for ANATEL, will also mark his presence.
Important media personalities will participate in FUTURECOM panels, as coordinators and mediators, among them: Carlos Alberto Sardenberg, anchor of CBN and commentator on Economy for the newspapers “O Estado de Sao Paulo and “O Globo”, Heloisa Magalhães (Valor Economico), Nadja Haddad (Band TV), Maria Lydia, presenter on Gazeta TV, Christiane Pelajo (Rede Globo), Mauro Peres for IDC, Miriam Aquino for TeleSintese, Graça Sermoud for Decision Report, Jose Marcio Mendonça, for Diario do Comercio, and Wilson Moherdaui for Plano Editorial.

Marcelo Tas, multimedia journalist and presenter of the CQC Program on TV Bandeirantes, will coordinate a Debate Panel on Generation Y and the Economist, Philosopher and Writer Eduardo Giannetti da Fonseca will give a speech on “The Challenges of Brazilian Economy in the Post-Lula Government”.
