The service - the first of its kind in Italy- is the result of a partnership between StudentiMediaGroup Internet publishing group (SMG Group) and Quinary

Giovani.it – the leading Italian social media – announces the immediate availability of a free, innovative web editor for its users. The editor enables community members to create viral video clips by mixing images, videos, text, html, and audio.
The service can be accessed by pointing any Flash-enabled browser at http://videofy.giovani.it.
It is an easy to use timeline-based, drag & drop video editing environment which allows dynamic overlay of frames, backgrounds, audio tracks and visual effects to video; add transitions between video components, generate html code to embed the edited video in a personal blog, preview the video clip before publishing.
Edited videos are available in the user personal Gallery, where they can be managed, tagged, shared, and commented as any other multimedia content. Videos are played by a branded Flash player that supports the delivery of targeted, non intrusive advertising.
The Giovani.it video editor is the first large scale deployment of web video editing in Italy. It is powered by Videofy Composer, an innovative white-label video technology developed by Quinary.
“We are committed to provide”, says Luca Lani, CEO of StudentiMediaGroup, the publisher of Giovani.it, “a best of breed, unique product to our users, a free service which allows everyone to be a director, and we have identified Videofy Composer as the ideal tool for Giovani.it. This service will increase networking chances in our community and is a breaking innovation in the Italian web world”.
“We are very proud”, adds Giovanni Maranzana, Videofy director, “to have been selected as the technology partner of the most important and active community in Italy for Generation Y. We believe that Giovani.it is the perfect environment to host an innovative service such as Videofy Composer, which has been designed to increase user involvement in social media.”
